 Das Einzelhandelsunternehmen wurde 1900 in Manchester von Abraham und George Rose gegründet. Ab 1930 lautete die Firma Great Universal Stores Limited und ab 2001 GUS plc. 2006 wurde die Home Retail Group abgespalten. Die Firma war zeitweise im FTSE 100 gelistet.
Histoire (Anglais)
 The retail company was incorporated by Abraham and George Rose in Manchester in 1900. The name was changed to Great Universal Stores Limited in 1930, and to GUS plc in 2001. The Home Retail Group was separated in 2006. The company was part of the FTSE 100 Index.
