Histoire (Allemand)
 Die Bahnlinie wurde 1858 von der Stockton & Darlington Railway Company übernommen. Die Stockton & Darlington Railway Company bestand bis 1863 als eigene Gesellschaft als sie sich mit der North Eastern Railway zusammenschloss. Diese firmierte ab 1923 als London and North Eastern Railway und ging 1948 in der British Railway auf.
Histoire (Anglais)
 The railway was bought by the Stockton & Darlington Railway Company in 1858. The Stockton & Darlington Railway existet till 1863 when it was bought by the North Eastern Railway. The name of this company was changed to London and North Eastern Railway in 1923. It became part of the British Railway in 1948.
