Histoire (Allemand)
 1812 als City Bank of New York gegründet, wurde sie 1894 die größte Bank der USA. Im Zuge einer internationalen Expansion ab dem Jahr 1902 wurde sie die erste große US-Bank mit einer Auslandsabteilung und bis 1930 sogar die weltgrößte Bank. So betreute sie auch die amerikanischen Geschäfte des Nazi-Regimes (z. B. mit Ford und Standard Oil) während des Zweiten Weltkriegs. 1955 wurde sie dann in The First National City Bank of New York umbenannt. Seit 1976 ist sie unter dem Namen Citibank weltbekannt.
Histoire (Anglais)
 Founded as City Bank of New York in 1812, it became the largest US bank in 1894. As a result of the international expansion since 1902, it became the first bank with a foreign department. Further growth led it to be the world largest bank in 1930. During the Second World War it managed business between the German Nazi regime and US companies like Ford or Standard Oil. In 1955, the bank was renamed The First National City Bank of New York. Since 1976, it is known worldwide as Citibank.
