 Im Alter von nur 21 Jahren baute Louis Renault im Jahr 1898 sein erstes Auto. Hieraus entstand ein Konzern mit zweitweise mehr als 150.000 Beschäftigten und einem Marktanteil von rund 50 Prozent in Frankreich. 1945, ein Jahr nach dem Tod von Louis Renault, wurde die Firma als Régie Nationale des Usines Renault verstaatlicht.
Histoire (Anglais)
 Louis Renault built his first car at the age of 21 years in 1898. He formed one of the large carmakers with round about 150,000 employees and a market share of almost 50 per cent in Francs. In 1945, one year after the death of Louis Renault, the French government took over the company and changed the name to Régie Nationale des Usines Renault.
