 Der Flugzeughersteller war in Yeovil, im Südwesten Englands ansässig. Später fokussierte sich die Gesellschaft auf den Hubschrauberbau und wurde in Westland Helicopters umfirmiert. 2000 fusionierte die Firma mit dem italienischen Unternehmen Agusta zu Agusta Westland.

 The aircraft manufacturer was based in Yeovil, in South-West England. The company focused on the production of helicopters later. The name was changed in Westland Helicopters. It merged with the Italian company Agusta to form Agusta Westland.
