Factos históricos (Alemão)
 Carl Freiherr Auer von Welsbach untersuchte und isolierte mehrere seltenen Erden. 1892 erfand er das Auerlicht, zehn Jahre später folgte die Metallfadenlampe (Osmium-Glühlampe, später OSRAM-GLÜHBIRNE). Er wurde damit zum Begründer wichtiger Industriezweige. In der ganzen Welt entstanden in der Folgezeit Incandescent Gas Light Companies, so auch in Australien.
Factos históricos (Inglês)
 Carl Freiherr Auer von Welsbach investigated and isolated several rare earths. He developed Auerlicht in 1892, and a metal thread light ten years later. He was the founder of an important industry. Incandescent gas companies arose all over the word, also in Australia, in the following years.
