 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1974 als Cell Chemie AG gegründet. 1977 wurde der Sitz von Frankfurt nach Berlin verlegt und die Firma firmierte in der Folge als Cell Industrie Holding AG. Der Hersteller von gegossenem Acrylglas war wenig erfolgreich und musste bereits 1981 Konkurs anmelden.
