Gratz, 01.07.1834, Gründeraktie über 100 Gulden, #789, 38,4 x 26,3 cm, schwarz, beige, rote Stempel, Knickfalten (eine mit Einriss), Abheftlochung unten, Rand ungleichmässig, DB, zahlreiche Stempel, Erhaltung VF, Auflage nur 800 Stück, letzter Bezugsrechtsstempel aus dem Jahr 1991! Das Papier war damit mindestens 157 Jahre börsengültig! Uns ist nur ein weiteres Exemplar (#699) bekannt.

Gratz, 1 July 1834, Founder’s share certificate of 100 Gulden, #789, 38.4 x 26.3 cm, black, beige, multiple stamps, folds (one of them with tear), filing holes at bottom, unequal margins, double sheet, Conditoon VF, only 800 certificates were issued, last stamp for subscription right is from 1991! Therefore the certificate was quoted on the stock exchange for at least 157 years! We know only one further example (#699). |

Die Gesellschaft wurde am 10.05.1834 gegründet. Anlässlich der Gründung legte der Gouverneur des Herzogtums Steiermark, Mathias Constantin Capello Graf von Wikkenburg, den Grundstein für das Kur- und Thermenzentrum Bad Gleichenberg. Es wurden insgesamt 800 Aktien zu je 100 Gulden ausgegeben. Da die Papiere schnell vergriffen waren, erfolgte kurz darauf eine weitere Emission von 200 Aktien. Das Kapital diente zum Ankauf von Heilquellen und Arealen für die Errichtung eines Heilbades in der Sulz. 2004 feierte die AG ihr 170jähriges Bestehen. Inzwischen wurde die Firma in eine GmbH umgewandelt. |

The company was founded on 10 May 1834. In celebration of that the governor of the Duchy of Steiermark, Mathias Constantin Capello, Count of Wikkenburg, laid the foundation of the health resort and thermal bath of Bad Gleichenberg. 800 Shares of 100 Gulden were issued – and rapidly sold. Shortly afterwards another 200 Shares were issued. The capital was used for acquiring spas and areas for constructing a therapeutic bath in the Sulz. In 2004 the company celebrated its 170th anniversary. Today it is not listed on the stock exchange any more, and has changed its legal form to GmbH. |
