bekanntesten Minen-Unternehmungen von Eu-
ropäern in Mittel- und Südamerika. Die Gesell-
schaft wurde 1824 gegründet um Silberminen
in Pachuca, im Nordosten von Mexiko City, zu
erwerben. Ihr Kurs schoss 1824 auf £ 1.479 hoch
um dann bis 1830 auf £ 45 zu fallen. Obwohl die
Gesellschaft eine Million Pfund einwarb, ging sie
bereits 1848 Pleite.
