Geld verdienen, damit seine Familie über die Runden kam. Mit
15 Jahren brachte er seine eigene Zeitung heraus und ging später
als Telegraphist zur Eisenbahn. Zu seinen mehr als 1.500 Erfin-
dungen zählen unter anderem die Glühbirne und das Kraftwerk,
aber auch das Fertighaus.

so that his family could survive. He published his own newspa-
per at age 15 and later on joined the railroad as a telegrapher. His
more than 1,500 inventions include for instance the light bulb
and the power plant, and also the prefabricated house.
