| Ab 1814 war Venedig im Venetianisch-Lombardischen Königreich Teil Österreichs. Am 22.03.1848 erhob sich ein Aufstand und proklamierte eine Venetianische Republik (Republik San Marco). Der Anführer war Daniele Manin, der mit Nicolo Tommaseo die Republik gründete und bis August 1849 als Diktator regierte. | After 1814 Venice was within the Lombard-Venetian Kingdom part of Austria. On 22 March 1848 there was a revolt and the Venetian Republic (Republic of San Marco) was proclaimed. The leader was Daniele Manin, who founded the republic with Nicolo Tommaseo until August 1849 and ruled as a dictator.
