| Centurion Octavio (1589?-1653) war ein in Genua ansässiger Banker. In finanziellen Angelegenheiten war der wichtigste Verbündete der spanischen Könige Philip III und Phillip IV. Bereits seit der Zeit der Katholischen Könige, Isabella I von Kastilien und Ferdinand II von Aragón, denen 1496 der Herrschertitel vom Papst Alexander VI verliehen wurde, unterstützte Genua die spanische Krone. | Centurion Octavio (1589?-1653) was a Genoese Banker. He was the most important financial ally of Spanish Kings Philip III and Philip IV. Genoa supported the Spanish monarchy since the Catholic Kings time. The title of Catholic King and Queen was officially bestowed on Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile by Pope Alexander VI in 1494.
