| Die Bahn wurde 1851 konzessioniert. Die 81 Meilen lange Strecke lag im Süden der Konföderierten-Hauptstadt Richmond. 1870 fusionierte die Gesellschaft mit der South Side Railroad und der Virginia & Tennessee Railroad zur Atlantic, Mississippi & Ohio Railroad. Diese ging später im Southern Railway-System auf. | The company got the concession in 1851. It built a 81 miles long railway southern of Richmond. The company merged with the South Side Railroad and the Virginia & Tennessee Railroad to form the Atlantic, Mississippi & Ohio Railroad in 1870. Later the railroad became part of the Southern Railway system. Original signature as president: William Mahone. General William Mahone was a railroad pioneer.
