	Die 1852 gegründete Gesellschaft plante den Bau einer 800 Meilen langen Eisenbahn von Shreveport (Louisiana) zum Rio Grande del Norte (Texas). Als 1871 gerade ein Mal ein 66 Meilen langes Teilstück bis Longview (Texas) fertig war, wurde die Gesellschaft von der Texas and Pacific Railway Company übernommen.
	The railway company was founded in 1852. It planned a 800 miles long railway from Shreveport (Louisiana) to the Rio Grande del Norte (Texas). Only 66 miles of railway track up to Longview (Texas) were built in 1871, when the company was taken over by the Texas and Pacific Railway Company.
