| Die Gesellschaft wurde am 12.03.1888 von Cecil Rhodes gegründet. Anfangs umfassten die Besitztümer die De Beers Mine und drei Viertel der Kimberley Mine. Zudem wurden die Bultfontein und die Dutoltspan Minen kontrolliert. 1893 erfolgte in Johannesburg das Börsenlisting. | The company was founded in Cecil Rhodes on 12 March 1888. At the beginning the company owned the De Beers Mine and three quarters of the Kimberley Mine. The company also controlled the Bultfontein and the Dutoltspan Mine. In 1893 the shares were listed at the Johannesburg stock exchange.
