| Christoph L. Poehlmann vollendete - obwohl aus einfachen Verhältnissen stammend - in England sein Studium der Philosophie und Psychologie. Vermutlich halfen ihm dabei bereits die Grundgedanken des Pelmanismus: der sinnvollen und erfolgreichen Bildung der eigenen Persönlichkeit mittels Geistestraining. 1900 schließlich gründete er in London zusammen mit John W. Ennever das Pelman-Institut. Ziel war die Verbreitung seines Systems des Gedächtnistrainings. Mit Erfolg: In vielen Ländern wurden fortan Pelman-Institute gegründet, wobei die Systematik den sprachlichen und kulturellen Eigentümlichkeiten der betreffenden Länder angepasst werden konnte. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

He was founder of the Pelmanism, a Science of Self-Realization.
