| Das Institut wurde bereits 1824 als Privatnotenbank gegründet. Der Geschäftsbetrieb wurde mit einem zinslosen Vorschuss des Staates in Höhe von 200.000 Thalern aufgenommen. 1831 bewahrte nur eine staatliche Finanzhilfe über fast eine halbe Million Thaler die Bank vor dem Konkurs. 1833 kam es zur Reorganisation und Einführung strengerer Deckungsvorschriften für die umlaufenden Notenbestände. 1848 und 1857 traten erneut Schwierigkeiten auf, da es Konkurse im Kundenkreis gab. 1875 verzichtete die Bank auf das Notenausgaberecht. Nur zwei Jahre später ging das Kreditinstitut endgültig in Konkurs. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The institute was founded already in 1824 as a private bank of issue. The business was started with an interest-free advance payment by the State at the amount of 200,000 thalers. In 1831 the bank could only be saved from bankruptcy by financial support of the State at the amount of half a million thalers. In 1833 the bank was reorganised and stricter regulations regarding the coverage of the current stock banknotes were introduced. In 1848 and 1857 difficulties occurred once again, because some customers became bankrupt. In 1875 the bank resigned the right to issue bank notes.
