Madrid, 19 June 1773, 1/3rd Share with no face value, without number, 31 x 42 cm, black, white, slight folds, EF in other respects, printed on hide, four original signatures, illustrations of the saint Madonna of the rosary and the saint Franz of Assisi. Very seldom! At that time the company was the biggest trading company of Spain. At first the five guilds jewellery, haberdashery, silk, draperies and wool merchants made their business on their own. In 1679 they merged, but the trading company of the five big gilds was founded only in 1763 in Madrid. Based on tax revenues these five gilds took the first five places of the 58 existing gilds, followed by the gild of the stock brokers. Their activities spread from Europe to Asia and America. In 1846 the company was liquidated.
