Die Gesellschaft wurde am 01.11.1858 gegründet. Der Sitz war zunächst in Meuselwitz in Thüringen. Es wurde der Braunkohlebergbau im Heinrich- und Wilhlemschacht sowie im Germaniabergwerk betrieben. Obendrein wurden Brikettfabriken und Ziegeleien betrieben. Ab 1889 expandierte die hochrentable Firma stark. Es wurden zahlreiche Kohlenfelder hinzugekauft. 1943 besaß die Firma unter anderem den Heinrichsschacht Meuselwitz. 1947 kam es zur Enteignung durch das Land Thüringen. In der Folge wurde am 08.11.1949 im Handelsregister die Sitzverlegung von Meuselwitz nach Herne in Westfalen eingetragen. 1958 wurde der Sitz nach Kassel verlegt. Zehn Jahre später ging die Firma in Liquidation.

The company was founded on 01 November 1858. The company’s registered office was firstly in Meuselwitz in Thuringia. It conducted the mining of brown coal in the Heinrich- and Wilhelm-Shaft and also in the Germania mine. In addition they had briquette factories and brickyards. Since 1889 the high profitable company had strongly expanded. Many coal fields were additionally bought. In 1943 the company was among other things the owner of the Heinrich shaft Meuselwitz. In 1947 it was expropriated by the State of Thuringia. Consequently on 08 November 1949 the change of the registered office from Meuselwitz to Herne in Westphalia was entered into the Commercial Registry. In 1958 the registered office was changed to Kassel. Ten years later the company went into liquidation.
