Geschichte
 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1915 von Edgar Edwars und Capitain Hepburn of Roath gegründet. Anfangs besaß die Schifffahrtsgesellschaft nur ein Schiff, die Southina. In den Boomjahren nach dem Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges verdiente die Gesellschaft gut und so übernahm sie 1919 die 20 Schiffe der Moor-Linie. Das wurde ihr in der auf den Boom folgenden Krise zum Verhängnis. 1922 musste sie Konkurs anmelden.
Geschichte (Englisch)
 Edgar Edwards, a shipping company accountant from Ely, Cardiff, and Captain Hepburn of Roath, Cardiff, were founders of the Western Counties Shipping Company. In 1915 they set up the company as a single-ship company owning the Southina. It did well in the boom years after the First World War, so it was able to take over the twenty ships of the Moor Line in 1919. Unfortunately the boom was followed by the slump and - like several other companies - the Western Counties Shipping Company had to be wound up in 1922.
