| Am 31. Mai 1897 wurde die Gesellschaft gegründet. Sie übernahm das bisher von Anton Conrad Wilhelm Sagebiel unter dem Namen Sagebiels Etablissement auf der Großen Drehbahn betriebene Wirtschaftsgebäude. Ab 1913 wurde zudem die Borsteler Rennbahn bewirtschaftet. Der Grundbesitz der Gesellschaft (Große Drehbahn 9-23, Valentinskamp 81-83 und 87-88) ging 1928 an den Hamburgischen Staat über und ab 1933 lautete die Firma Abwicklungs-Aktiengesellschaft Drehbahn. Bis November 2016 bestand das im Herzen von Blankeneses Treppenviertel gelegene Sagebiels Fährhaus und bot seinen Gästen einen wundervollen Blick auf die Elbe. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The company was formed on 31 May 1897. It took over the restaurant Sagebiels Establishments, which was located at the Große Drehbahn and which was operated by Wilhelm Sagebiel. The company also operated the Borsteler Rennbahn, too, from 1913 onwards. The real estate (Große Drehbahn 9-23, Valentinskamp 81-83 and 87-88) of the company was sold to the Hamburg government in 1928, and the name was changed to Abwicklungs-Aktiengesellschaft Drehbahn five years later. The restaurant, which is located at the river Elbe in the Treppenviertel in Blankenese, was operated until November 2016.
