| Die südafrikanische Gesellschaft wurde 1897 unter deutscher Beteiligung als A. Goertz & Co. Ltd. gegründet. Erst nach dem Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs änderte man den Firmennamen in Union Corp. Die vorliegende Aktie stammt aus einer mit Hilfe der Deutschen Bank durchgeführten Kapitalerhöhung. Das Unternehmen fungierte als Holding- und Finanzierungsgesellschaft für südafrikanische und mexikanische Minen- und Industriebeteiligungen. 1980 erfolgte die Fusion mit General Mining zur General Mining Union Corp. Das dekorative Papier wurde von einem Künstler entworfen, der viele Jugendstilelemente in das Bild eingebaut hat. Diese stehen im interessanten Kontrast zu den figürlichen Darstellungen, die zwei Eingeborene, einen Güterzug und eine Viehherde zeigen. Gedruckt wurde die Aktie bei Giesecke & Devrient in Leipzig. | ||||
| This South African company was founded in 1897 with German participation as A. Goertz & Co. Not until the end of WW I was the company name changed to Union Corp. The available share originated from a German Bank initiated capital increase. The company operated as a holding and financing corporation for South African and Mexican mining and industry investments. In 1980, the fusion with General Mining to become General Mining Union Corp. took place. The share was designed by an artist who incorporated many art nouveau elements into the picture. They stand in an interesting contrast to the figure like depictions that show two natives, a freight train, and a cattle treck. The stock was printed by Giesecke & Devrient in Leipzig.
