| Als Tochtergesellschaft der National Bank of Egypt wurde diese Gesellschaft 1902 mit einem Kapital von 1.250.000 £ ins Leben gerufen. Sie hatte eine Konzession auf 50 Jahre und unterstand voll dem ägyptischen Recht. Im Herbst 1903 wurde die Ausgabe einer Obligation im Wert von 2.500.000 £ beschlossen und 1904 wurde das Aktienkapital verdoppelt. Den Aktien und Obligationen garantierte die ägyptische Regierung eine 3%ige Verzinsung. Die Gesellschaft war schnell zum wichtigsten Bodenkreditinstitut im Land geworden. Tolle, attraktive Gestalung mit 2 Vignetten: die untere zeigt einen Viehtreiber mit drei Büffeln, die obere, integriert in den Namenszug, stellt eine dörfliche Szene dar. Wir sehen Fellachen mit ihrem durstigen Vieh beim Wasserschöpfen vor einem halbverfallenen Gebäude, dahinter Dattelpalmen. Im Unterdruck drei graphisch gestaltete Sonnen. | ||||
| As a subsidiary of the National Bank of Egypt, this company was created in 1902 with a principal of 1,250,000 £. It had a license for 50 years and was completely subject to Egyptian Law. In the fall of 1903 the distribution of an obligation amounting to 2,500,000 £ was authorized and in 1904 the share capital was doubled. The Egyptian government guaranteed a yield of 3% on the shares and obligations. The company had soon grown into the most important land credit institute in the country. Fabulous, attractive design with two vignettes: the lower one shows a cattle drover with three buffalo. The upper one is integrated into the signature and represents a village scene. We see fellahs getting water for their thirsty cattle in front of a semi-derelict building, with date palms in the background. Three graphically designed suns in the sub-print. | ||||
