| Im Jahr 1907 erhob sich mit der Canard die erste eigene Flugzeugkontruktion von Louis Blériot in die Lüfte. Berühmt wurde er jedoch durch seinen am 25.07.1909 erfolgten Flug von Baraques an der französischen Atlantikküste nach Dover. Die Flugzeugfirma von Blériot entwickelte sich zu einem bedeutenden Luftfahrtkonzern, der allerdings 1937 verstaatlicht wurde. | ||||
