| Simon Page hatte mit diesem Papier das Recht, am 01.03.1783 die Summe von £ 108 zuzüglich 6 % Zinsen pro Jahr zu fordern. Das Besondere war die Art der Rückzahlung: Both Prinzipal and Interest to be paid in the then current Money of said State, in a greater or less sum, accourding as Five Bushels of Corn, Sixty-eight Pounds and four-sevents Parts of a Pound of Beef, Ten Pounds of Sheeps Wool, and Sixteen Pounds of Sole Leather shall cost, more or less than One Hundret and Thirty Pounds current Money, at the then current Prices of said Articles. Die Anleihe war damit eines der ganz frühen Warentermingeschäfte! | ||||
| This certificate gave Simon Page the right to claim the amount of £ 108 plus 6% interest per year on the 1st day of March 1783. The type of repayment was particular: Both Prinzipal and Interest to be paid in the then current Money of said State, in a greater or less sum, according as Five Bushels of Corn, Sixty-eight Pounds and four-seventz Parts of a Pound of Beef, Ten Pounds of Sheeps, Wool, and Sixteen Pounds of Sole Leather shall cost, more or less than One Hundret and Thirty Pounds current Money, at the then current Prices of said Articles.
