| 1969 sorgte Herbert Neumann mit seiner Schweizer Irowir AG für Schlagzeilen, über die selbst der Spiegel ausführlich berichtete. Die Irowir kaufte 425.000 Aktien der neugegründeten Spanplattenfirma Trilam Woods sowie 700.000 Aktien von Canada Kelp. Diese wollte aus dem Meer Algen ernten und zu Mehl verarbeiten. Ironwir zahlte 1,80 US-$ je Trilam Wood-Aktie und ließ diese über einen Strukturvertrieb in Deutschland für bis zu fünf US-$ verkaufen. Bei Canada Kelp sah die Spanne ähnlich aus. Irowir hatte seinerzeit Rückkaufgarantien gegeben, doch bald ging das Geld hierfür aus. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Herbert Neumann and his Swiss Irowir AG made headlines, even in the German magazine Der Spiegel, in 1969. Irowir bought 425,000 shares of the newly established Trilam Woods which operated in the chipboard industry and 700,000 shares of the Canada Kelp which wanted to harvest algas in the sea to pulverise them. Irowir paid US-$ 1.80 per share of the Trilam Wood and sold them using network marketing in Germany right up to US-$ 5. The profit margin of Canada Kelp was right similar.
