| Der Titel wurde Baron of Finan für seine Mitgliedschaft in der Armee von Louise-Antoine d’Artois, Herzog von Angouleme, verliehen. Dieser half Ferdinand VII bei der Wiederherstellung des Absolutismus in Spanien. Der Orden Karls III. ist als Verdienstorden für den katholischen Adel von König Karl III. von Spanien am 19.09.1771 gestiftet worden. Träger des Ordens ist unter anderem der französische Präsident Nicolas Sarkozy. | ||||
| The concession was based on his participation in the army “Los 100.000 Hijos de San Luis” an army commanded by Louis-Antoine d'Artois, Duke of Angoulême who helped Fernando VII to restore the absolutism in Spain. The Royal and Distinguished Spanish Order of Carlos III was established by the King of Spain Carlos III in 1771. The motto is Virtuti et mérito. The objective of the order is to reward people for their actions in benefit to Spain and the Crown. Since its creation in 1771 it has been the most distinguished civil award that can be granted in Spain, despite its categorisation as a military order. The order was formally converted to a civil order in 1847. The french president Nicolas Sarkozy is one of the famous owner of this order. | ||||
