| Das Unternehmen ist die Nachfolgegesellschaft der legendären Handelsgesellschaft der fünf großen Gilden von Madrid. Es war ein Gemeinschaftsunternehmen der Schmuck-, Kurzwaren-, Seiden-, Tuch- und Wollhändler der spanischen Hauptstadt. Auf der Aktie ist das Wappen der Cinco Gremios zusammen mit Symbolen, die auf verschiedene Zünfte hinweisen, zu sehen. Daneben ist ein Füllhorn (Zeichen für Reichtum), sowie ein Anker und Fässer (Symbol für Handel) zu sehen. | ||||
| The company is a successor of the Compañia General de Comercio de los cinco Gremios Mayores de Madrid. In the 18th century Compañia General de Comercio de los cinco Gremios Mayores de Madrid was the biggest trading company of Spain. At first the five guilds jewellery, haberdashery, silk, draperies and wool merchants made their business on their own. In 1679 they merged, but the trading company of the five big gilds was founded only in 1763 in Madrid. Based on tax revenues these five gilds took the first five places of the 58 existing gilds, followed by the gild of the stock brokers. Their activities spread from Europe to Asia and America. In 1846 the Compañia General de Comercio de los cinco Gremios Mayores de Madrid was liquidated. The Sociedad Fabril y Comercial de los Gremios was its successor. The certificate shows the coat of arms of the five guilds which represent the different guilds. Beside this we can see a cornucopia (symbol of wealth), anchor and barrels (symbol for trade). | ||||
