The brewery was founded in 1834 and the company changed to a joint stock company in 1888. It produced bottom-fermented beer and malt. The company also owned the Brauerei Neff GmbH in Freiburg. Binding acquired the majority of shares in 1972. Die Brauerei wurde 1834 gegründet und 1888 in eine Aktienge- sellschaft umgewandelt. Neben untergärigem Bier wurde auch Malz hergestellt.
