61. Auktion fur Historische Wertpapiere Teil 1 Auktion 3 September 2022

6 Dear Sir or Madam, We are proud to present a high quality scripophily offer. As done in the last auctions, we divided the auction in two parts. The first part is the 61st auction (public auction) on September 3rd. It contains the lots 1 to 728. It is our goal to offer in the public auction those lots, which are intere- sting for collectors attending our live auctions. Therefore you will find many rare items in our 62nd auction (online auction), too. This auction contains the lots 729 to 1,906. Please use our indices and our search engine at our web page. The web page is available in eleven languages! At the web search you can also combine your search. You can, for example, only look for items from one industry from one country. This will give you a quick overview over the items which are fitting in your collection. In this auction we offer especially for German customers very rare items. The reasons therefore are sad ones: On 27 November 2021, Klaus Schiefer, passed away aged 58. Klaus was from 2001 to 2008 our auctioneer. He started his own auction in 2008, but we still had a good relation. Klaus was especially proud of his book regarding 250 years in the history of insuran- ce business. He collected German insurance scripophily as well as items from his hometown Duesseldorf and Scripophily denominated in DM. The second large collection was built by Prof. Dr. Eckhardt Wanner. He passed away aged 87 on 24 February 2022. Eckhardt Wanner was one of the first members of the German collectors club EDHAC. He became Vice President of EDHAC in 1976 and President three years later. In this positi- on he shaped the EDHAC and the German Scripophily scene for 27 years. Prof. Dr. Eckhardt Wanner collected especially Scripophily from his home region Baden. To promote the outstanding items of these two collections we decided to enlarge the catalogue with the highlights. This time we present 75 instead of 50 Highlights in a se- parate catalogue. The auction will take place in the Festsaal of the Trattoria Limone in Zorneding-Pöring, which is just 1.5 kilometres away from our office. To make the auction to a safe event for all of us, please let us know, if you want to participate in person in this auction. After the auction there will be the general assembly of the German collectors club EDHAC, and of the Museum club EDHAM. In the eve- ning we will hold a joint dinner at the Trattoria Limone. The joint din- ner starts at 7.30 p.m. If you wish to take part there, please make re- servation with our office (e-mail: auktion@hwph.de or telephone: +49-8106-246186 ). Deadline is August, 31st.
