First time seen by us, from an old collection! R12! Omer Decugis founded an import company for fruits and opened its first store in 1850. In 1950, when the company was 100 years old, it owned 30 subsidiaries and warehouses in Europe and Africa. The company is active at the world’s largest wholesale food market, Rungis International Market next to Paris, since 1969. It has specific expertise in ripening of bananas, mangoes, papayas, and avocados. Together with the president of the Ivory Coast, Société Internationale d’Importation (SIIM) was founded in 1978. The Omer Decugis family took over complete control over the business in 1995. The company is in family ownership since six generations now. Bisher komplett unbekanntes Stück aus einer alten Sammlung! Gigantisch! R12! Omer Decugis gründete 1850 einen Importeur für Früchte und eröffnete seinen ersten Laden. Zum 100jährigen Bestehen verfügte die Gesellschaft über 30 Niederlassungen und Lagerhäuser in Europa und Afrika. Seit 1969 werden die Produkte auf dem größten Groß- markt der Welt, dem Pariser Großmarkt Rungis angeboten. In Reifehäusern erhalten dort auch Bananen, Mangos, Papaya und Avoca- dos die notwendige Reife. 1978 wird Société Internationale d’Importation (SIIM) gemeinsam mit dem Präsidenten der Elfenbeinküste gegründet. 1995 hat die Familie Omer-Decugis die komplette Kontrolle darüber übernommen.
