Die 1914 gegründete Vertriebsgesellschaft übernahm kurze Zeit später Studios der Shubert-Familie (diese war für das Establishment im New Yorker Broadway-Distrikt verantwortlich und war darüber hinaus das Schwergewicht der amerikanischen Theaterbranche) sowie Inhalte von William Aloysius Brady (einem amerikanischen Theaterschauspieler, Produzent und Förderer des Sports). Der erste größere Schachzug war die Verpflichtung von Clara Kimball Young, einer sehr gefragten amerikanischen Filmschauspielerin, die in der frühen Phase des Stummfilms äußerst populär war.
Formed in 1914, the company included the theatrical interests of the Shubert family (responsible for the establishment of the Broadway district in New York City, being the hub of the theatre industry in the United States) and William Aloysius Brady (American theatre actor, producer and sports promoter). The first major move was the acquisition of Clara Kimball Young, an American film actress being highly regarded and publicly popular in the early silent film era.
