	Eine der Wurzeln der Walter Bau AG! 1917 entstand in Augsburg aus der 1876 gegründeten Personengesellschaft von Alfred Thormann, Jean Stiefel und Tobias Schueller die Thosti Bauaktiengesellschaft. Diese firmierte später als Thormann & Siefel AG Thosti und schließlich als Thosti AG. 1982 übernahm diese die Düsseldorfer Boswau + Knauer AG und firmierte in Walter Thosti Boswau (WTB) um. Hieraus wurde nach weiteren Übernahmen 1991 die Walter Bau-AG. 2005 meldete die Gesellschaft Insolvenz an.
