1860 gründete Rudolf Stabenow mit Herrn Gallauer in Prag eine Kupferschmiede. Diese wurde 1920 in eine AG umgewandelt. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde die Firma verstaatlicht und als Ceske valcovny kovu weitergeführt. Von 1949 bis 1989 lautete die Firma Kovohute, n.p. und dann Kovohute Celakovice. Heute ist die Firma ein Teil von Kovohute Holding dt.
