Richard Joshua "R. J." Reynolds (1850-1918), Sohn eines Tabakfarmers, verkaufte 1874 seinen Anteil am Familienunternehmen und zog nach Winston-Salem, North Carolina um sein eigenes Tabakunternehmen zu gründen. Heute ist R. J. Reynolds hinter Altria das zweitgrößte Tabakunternehmen Amerikas.
Richard Joshua "R. J." Reynolds (1850-1918) was a son of a tobacco farmer. He sold in 1874 his stake in the family's tobacco business, moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina and founded his own tobacco business. Today R. J. Reynolds is behind Altria the second largest tobacco company of the United States.
