Geschichte
 Die South Mountain and Iron Company erwarb den Pine Grove Hochofen in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, von Jay Cooke & Company. 1877 wurde die Gesellschaft in zwei separate Firmen aufgeteilt. Eine Gesellschaft übernahm das Eisenbahngeschäft, die andere die Hochöfen. Auf den Grundstücken der Gesellschaft befindet sich heute der Pine Grove State Park sowie der Michaux State Forest.
Geschichte (Englisch)
 The South Mountain Iron Company purchased the Pine Grove Furnace in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, from Jay Cooke & Company. In 1877, the company was split in two separate mining and railway companies. The real estate of the South Mountain Mining and Iron Company is now the Pine Grove Furnace State Park and Michaux State Forest.
