 Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts erlebte die Börse in Ägypten einen regelrechten Boom. Die Börsen von Kairo und Alexandria zählten seinerzeit zu den zehn größten der Welt. Der Crash des Jahres 1907 brachte die Börse jedoch in Bedrängnis und führte zur ihrer Liquidation.

 There was a boom at the Egypt stock market at the beginning of the 20th century. The stock markets in Cairo and Alexandria were among the ten largest in the world. The Crash of 1907 brought the stock market operator in difficulties which let to the liquidation of the company.
