 Die Gesellschaft wurde 1906 als Kuala Lumpur Rubber Company gegründet und betrieb zunächst vornehmlich Kautschuk- und Kaffeeplantagen auf der Malaiischen Halbinsel. 1960 stieg man in die Palmölproduktion ein und benannte die Firma in Kuala Lumpur-Kepong Amalgamated Ltd. um. 1973 löste sich die Gesellschaft schließlich selbst auf und alle Assets wurden von einer neuen, auch heute noch aktiven Firma namens Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad übernommen. KLK besitzt mehr als 250.000 Hektar Plantagen in Malaysia und Indonesien sowie eigene Mühlen und Raffinerien.
Factos históricos (Inglês)
 In 1906, the company was founded as Kuala Lumpur Rubber Company. It mainly operated rubber and coffee plantations in Malaysia. In 1960, it started to plant oil palm in Fraser Estate and changed its name to Kuala Lumpur-Kepong Amalgamated Ltd. In 1973, the company went into voluntary liquidation and all assets were taken over by a new company Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad, which is still active today. KLK has more than 250,000 ha. of plantation areas in Malaysia and Indonesia, further own mills and refineries.
